Forced Induction

This template will rescale your load tables and set you up with a great starting point for spark and fueling. It is up to you to supply the injectors, MAF, etc of your combo. I try not make any assumptions about your combo.

It is recommended to retard spark by 4 degrees ("-4" in SPK_ADD scalar) and possibly richen the fuel tables to give you a safety net when you first start dialing the combo in.

I also recommend relocating the ACT sensor, loading the "Relocated ACT Sensor" template on this site.

Ok folks I have expanded on this a bit. I used this template in my mature tune I've been running awhile when I installed my Kenne Bell supercharger on my 1990 Fox Mustang (yes with CBAZA EEC) and it was nearly perfect. The reason it wasn't 100% perfect is because of the GT40P heads. Even in stock form you have to turn DOWN some spark. This is true of both my Fox cars with GT40P heads, the other was an A9P car.

My combo is a 97 Explorer engine, 100% stock long block with a 89-93 Mustang CAM-HO factory style and a Crane 1.7 roller rocker. GT40P heads and Cobra style lower intake-factory for these engines. I'm now running a 2.2 KB (boost not recorded yet as the gauge isn't hooked up but I'm running a 6-8lb set up).

So I'm going to upload my template that should be perfect for such a stock combo to build on. Basically the difference will be some lower spark numbers than these here on this template.

Do we have anyone that is using these settings with iron heads? I am wanting to try this, but spark is high compared to my current.

I am going to check out the kenne bell one first.

Email me both tunes (wes@tpsperformance.com) and I\'ll do a compare to see what problem you\'re having. I\'ve based quite a few \"startup\" tunes off of this template and they have worked well - might be something simple going on. We\'ll get to the bottom of it.
